Discipline Team and Guidance Team Leadership Training Course 2023-2024

The school's Discipline and Guidance Teams proudly organized a comprehensive Leadership Training Course for 40 Form 3 students from June to July this year.

The program commenced with a 12-hour Mental Health First Aid Certificate course, which equipped the students with the knowledge and skills to identify and support their peers facing mental health challenges.

The second phase consisted of campus-based training sessions led by experts from the Don Bosco Youth Centre, school social workers, and accomplished peer mentor alumni. These sessions focused on developing essential leadership skills such as team building, communication, empathy, and ice-breaking techniques through interactive workshops and shared experiences.

The course culminated in an outdoor camping trip to Pui O on 4 and 5 July. During this trip, students faced various challenges and learned to overcome them as a team through activities such as individual night walks and outdoor cooking.

After weeks of intensive training and reflection, these young leaders are now prepared to assume roles within the school community. They will promote mental health awareness and provide support to their peers and incoming students in the upcoming school year. The school congratulates all the participants on their successful completion of the leadership training course.
