Author Visit with Trevor Morris

We had the privilege of hosting Trevor Morris (莫理斯先生), the talented author of the Great Hong Kong Detective series (《香江神探》), at our College on March 19. Twenty staff and students had the opportunity to listen to the author speak about one of his most popular works and share profound insights into his writing career and the inspirations behind his stories.

Morris' visit was an enriching and thought-provoking experience that left a lasting impact on aspiring writers and avid readers alike. It was particularly interesting to hear how he created and named the characters. His stories blossomed from his background as an international student and a legal practitioner and serve as love letters to Chinese history, local culture, and Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes series.

We express our heartfelt appreciation to Morris for his engaging talk and inspiring visit, which has sparked a newfound passion for reading and writing among our students.

A special thanks goes to Ms. Sarah Leung for her excellent role as the emcee and facilitator, Mr. Bobby Poon for inviting Morris, the Library Club, and all the staff and students who showed their support for this event.
