25th World Scout Jamboree and Post-Tour in Korea

From August 1st to 12th, 2023, scouts and venture scouts from the 10th Hong Kong Group, along with scout leaders including Mr. Robert Ho, Mrs. Apple Ho, Mr. Andy Chau, and Mr. Barney Wat, participated in the 25th World Scout Jamboree at Saemangeum in Korea.

The Hong Kong contingent comprised 30 scouts and venture scouts from our College, along with 400 scouts from other groups. The theme for the 25th World Jamboree was 'Draw your Dream.' During the 12-day event, our scouts embraced challenges through various adventurous activities while making new friends from over 170 countries. Despite facing harsh conditions such as hot weather, typhoons, and mosquitoes, they overcame difficulties and learned how they can contribute to building a better world.

Dressed in traditional Chinese costumes, our scouts performed a captivating flag dance that delighted a large audience of thousands of scouts during the Jamboree. They were also invited to perform again during the Scout Rally in front of over 10,000 scouts at the Hong Kong Stadium, creating one of the many unforgettable experiences for our scout group.

After the Jamboree, 17 of our scouts, along with 19 Scouts and Leaders from Hong Kong, continued their adventure training and participated in the Korea Exchange Tour organized by the Group. This marked our first overseas adventure training since 2019. They explored the traditional culture and innovative technology of Korea, visited the demilitarized zone between North Korea and South Korea, and admired the cityscape from Seoul's highest point.
