The Youth Red Cross 35th Enrollment Ceremony

The Youth Unit 39 of the Youth Red Cross successfully held their 35th Enrollment Ceremony on 24 June. They were honored to have Mr. Chow Wing Kwong Wallace, the Chief Staff Officer of the Hong Kong Island Division of the Hong Kong Red Cross, as the guest of honor.

The theme of the enrollment ceremony was "Meliora", a Latin word which means “better”. It conveys the idea of striving for improvement and a better future, inspiring the members to actively participate in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

A total of 18 members had completed a series of basic training required for the official enrollment. During the ceremony, they took an oath and pledged their commitment to serving the country and uniting with Red Cross members around the world to help the sick and the suffering.

Youth Unit 39 would like to express their sincere gratitude to Chief Staff Officer Mr. Chow, Unit Patron Mr. Yuen, Unit Officers Ms. Wong, Mr. Kan, and Mr. Chan, as well as the staff and members of the Red Cross for their participation and support in the ceremony.

Our Youth Red Cross will continue to serve the community with empathy and care for others.
