Award-Winning Sustainable Development Project

At the morning assembly last Thursday, Chan Ho, Kam Chun San, and Leung Shing Yiu from 5B gave a presentation about their award-winning project on sustainable development.

As members of the student sustainability team, they earned the silver award in a ‘design thinking’ competition of the Sustainability and Social Inclusion Programme run by the Diversity and Inclusion Office and Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Office, CUHK.

Their project focuses on how to achieve UNESCO’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13: ‘Climate Action’ through energy-saving initiatives on campus. It also includes a report on Social Responsibility Week for Forms 1 and 2, which centred on the theme of energy and environmental conservation.

Since last September, St. Paul’s College has been an ESD member school of the UNESCO Hong Kong Association. As such, we are committed to education for sustainable development (ESD) and strive to facilitate SDGs by creating and maintaining a sustainable campus for our staff and students.
