The Distinguished Prefect Assembly Series Part 1: Professor David S.C. Hui

The Distinguished Prefect Assembly Series has long been a proud tradition of the Prefects’ Council in St. Paul’s College. Every year, the Prefects’ Council invites remarkably successful former prefects who have made significant contributions to society to return to their alma mater and share valuable insights with our students.

To mark the commencement of the meaningful series this year, the Prefects’ Council invited Professor David SC Hui to be the guest speaker on 8 November. Professor Hui has been working as a member of the government anti-epidemic expert advisory group since the outbreak of COVID-19.

Professor Hui shared with our students interesting stories about his school days as a Pauline and his experience in tackling epidemics like SARS and COVID-19. He also offered his view on career planning and his advice for students who plan to pursue further studies in medicine.

Professor Hui specifically pointed out the importance of choosing a career based on personal interest and reminded our students to always uphold the College’s spirit of “all for each, each for all.”
