F.1 Bridging Course 2019-2020

The Form One Bridging Course 2019-2020 was held successfully from 5 to 16 August. The two-week tailor-made programme provided incoming Form 1 students with cross-curriculum preparatory lessons and fun-filled activities so as to ease their transition to secondary education.

During Week One, the students settled into class routines and had lessons that focused on fundamentals consolidation and essential e-learning skills building. Sessions on classroom language, vocabulary building strategies and research skills gave students a comprehensive preview of SPC life, and most students expressed enthusiasm for the group work, competitions and activities prepared for them.

During Week Two, the students worked on various subjects including Chinese, Mathematics, Integrated Science and Integrated Humanities. The Chinese Department organised an interactive competition and a calligraphy interest class, which were beyond well-received. Other highlights included a visit to the school library, experience sharing by Toby Leung (3F) about his note-making techniques, team building exercises conducted by the College’s social worker, Mr. Cyrus Kwong, and an introduction to the Christian faith and assembly rituals by the Christian Union.

Together with the sports interest groups and small-scale training programmes held in the afternoon of both weeks, our 2019-2020 Bridging Programme is testament to our unwavering dedication to whole-person development and to fostering the most welcoming learning atmosphere for our incoming Form One students.
