"Project Legacy": Assembly Sharing by Police Alumni

On 22nd October 2018, a group of alumni who are serving in the Hong Kong Police Force returned to their alma mater. They are volunteers for a new scheme called “Project Legacy”, which provides opportunities for them to share their professional skills and experience with their “young brothers”.

The scheme kicked off with the assembly sharing by alumnus Mr. Chow Yat Ming, Joe, District Commander of Yau Tsim District. In his sharing, he explained how the four precepts from the College Song – “Justice, Honour, Truth and Virtue” – have been the moral compass for his police career, and how the line, “All for each and each for all”, serves as an important guiding principle in his life. He also expressed his gratitude to the College, as for him, the SPC brotherhood bonds extend beyond his school years and exist also in the workplace, where he meets and works with many other SPC alumni.

The College greatly appreciates the visit from these alumni:
Mr. Chow Yat Ming, Joe
Mr. Mak Man Yu, Mark
Mr. Tam Chun Hei, Terry
Mr. Ng Ka Hong, Nigel
Mr. Chan Hok Lun, Ivan
Mr. Lo Kevin
Mr. Yeung Tit Ho, Alex &
Mr. Law Man Kin, Kinson.

Under “Project Legacy”, an array of educational visits and workshops from detective simulation exercises to forensic courses to music activities will be organized for this year. We trust that our students will benefit from our police alumni through taking part in them.
