Brandon Li attends the Hugh O'Brian Youth World Leadership Congress 2018

Brandon Li, a fifth-former from our school, recently attended the Hugh O’Brian Youth World Leadership Congress 2018 (HOBY WLC). He was one of the ten ambassadors selected by the 26th Hong Kong Union for Young Leaders (HKUYL) for the Congress. The Congress, aimed at empowering youth leadership, was held from 21st to 28th July at Loyola University in Chicago.

The Congress hosted 430 student delegates from the US and around the globe. They engaged in action-oriented leadership activities while getting inspired by panel presentations from social activists and young community pioneers, who are making positive changes of varying types and degrees in the world.

Also worth mentioning is that the chaperone for the Hong Kong delegation was Sean Tam, an SPC alumnus (Class of 2017) and former HOBY WLC delegate (2015). Brandon and Sean both had a fruitful time in the States, gaining fresh insights regarding global issues and making international friendships.
