Form One Parents' Orientation Day
On 26th August 2017, we warmly received more than 200 parents, who came to the College for Form One Parents’ Orientation Day. Almost all of our Form One parents were able to take the time to attend the event; and most encouragingly, many of our new students were coming along as well.

Our Principal, Mr. Dennis Yuen, opened the orientation day with a warm welcome to the visiting parents. He also addressed the new students in attendance and delivered a keynote message to them on the importance of achieving excellence in both academic and extra-curricular programmes provided by the school.

Following Mr. Yuen’s speech were respective presentations by our Vice Principals, Mrs. Y.H. Chung, Mr. W.H. Wong and Mr. K.H. Yuen, on various subjects of interest to parents such as school culture, brotherhood spirit, and the professional support units available on campus to help their children in the classroom and beyond.

The orientation day also featured an experience sharing session by some of our current students. They genuinely spoke of how they had overcome the adjustment problems and obstacles they had faced when they were new to the school, and offered tips on how to strike a balance between academic studies and extra-curricular commitments.

At the end of the meeting, the parents had the opportunity to meet and get to know the form teachers of their children.

The annual Form One Parents’ Orientation Day is one of the many platforms provided by the College to establish a close collaboration between the school and the parents. The active participation of parents in the event this year is, without a doubt, a major first step towards achieving this goal.
