10th Hong Kong Group Scouts receive Chief Scout Awards

Chan Kwan Ho Ambrose (5D) and Wong Wai Tan Ivan (5E) were presented with the "Chief Scout's Award" by Mr. C Y Leung, the Chief Scout and the Chief Executive of the HKSAR, also at the Hong Kong Scout Rally.  The Chief Scout’s Award is the highest award for the Scout Section of the Scout Association of Hong Kong.

Ambrose and Ivan have consistently demonstrated remarkable skills and knowledge in various domains, including scoutcraft, adventure, culture, community, health, commitment, social services, and leadership, while at the same time having completed the Proficiency/Activity Badge sections of the Pathfinder, Voyager and Challenger Awards.

This is no mean feat for Ambrose and Ivan, as it has taken them more than three years to reach such high standards. Congratulations to Ambrose and Ivan for their sterling achievement!

The Venture Scout Unit and Scout Troop of the 10th Hong Kong Group have won the “Distinguished Group Award” presented by the Scout Association of Hong Kong in recognition of their outstanding performance in the year 2015/2016.  The award ceremony was held on 16th October 2016 on Island Scout Day at the Hong Kong Police College.

Apart from the award, our scout group was presented with the coloured ribbons designated for "Distinguished Group" winners. The ribbons are to be attached to and hoisted with our unit and troop flags as a decoration of honour. We are proud that we are entitled to this honour for a year until the next Island Scout Day.
