Academic-in-Residence 2013, Dr. Chiara Ciccarelli (Physics)

It is with great pleasure that we would like to extend a warm welcome to our Academic-in-Residence, Dr. Chiara Ciccarelli.

 

She is a physicist who completed her PhD in Physics at the University of Cambridge and she is famous for her work on semiconductor and electron spin.

 

She is a Research Fellow of the Gonville and Caius College at the University of Cambridge. Her current research is on ‘Spin-orbit induced anisotropies of the chemical potential in ferromagnets and antiferromagnets.’

 

Dr. Ciccarelli will be holding talks and workshops for our Form 3 to form 6 students on Physics. In addition, she will lead a group of senior form students in a research project.
