On 2 April 2025, the Integrated Humanities Department organized three experiential learning activities for Form 1 students as part of Project ACE.
1A, B, and C: The Living Museum - Experiencing Heritage at Blue House
Our students had an inspiring visit to the Viva Blue House in Wan Chai. They explored the heritage buildings and learned about sustainable development and community revitalization. Through engaging tours and exhibits, they gained insights into Hong Kong's rich history and culture. We sincerely thank the dedicated tour guides and St. James' Settlement for making this enriching experience possible.
1D and 1E: Cultural Footprint - Tracing History through Heritage Trail Walk
Our students walked through major cultural heritage sites in the Western District, such as Western Market, the Old Pathological Institute, and Man Mo Temple, to learn about the history of Hong Kong from the mid-19th century. By visiting key locations, students gained a deeper understanding of the cultural diversity in Hong Kong and raised awareness of the importance of heritage preservation.
1F: Heritage Hues - Exploring the Green Hub
Our students visited a declared monument in Tai Po, the Old Tai Po Police Station, also known as the Green Hub. They explored its historical development and appreciated the architectural design of the building. They also dyed handkerchiefs with turmeric to experience the community revitalization work organized by Kadoorie Farm.
