F.5 History Tour to Macau

Our F.5 History students recently embarked on an exciting educational adventure to Macau, accompanied by their History teachers.

From the iconic Ruins of St. Paul’s to the historic Mandarin’s House, Mount Fortress, Na Tcha Temple, and more, students explored the rich cultural and historical landmarks of the city. Along the way, they discovered the shared historical parallels between Macau and Hong Kong as Special Administrative Regions, each with unique Portuguese and British cultural influences.

A highlight of the tour was the Pastel de Nata (Portuguese egg tart) workshop! Students had hands-on experience crafting this delicious treat while also learning some fun Portuguese phrases.

No trip to Macau is complete without tasting its famous cuisine! Our students enjoyed a hearty Macanese lunch featuring the beloved Portuguese Chicken. They also had a great time exploring the bustling Cunha Street in Taipa, known for its shops and local delicacies.

This immersive experience brought history to life and gave our students a deeper appreciation of the stories behind the monuments. Stay tuned for more snapshots and stories from our journey - and more enriching experiences to come!
